Where You've Seen Coronation Street's Fraser Actor Before

Coronation Street's Fraser made his debut this week as the next-door neighbour and friend of Celeste (Frances Barber), who is using Shuttleworth's Independent Funeral Directors funeral parlour to organise her own funeral.

Arriving at Shuttleworth's with Celeste, Fraser soon caught the attention of a smitten Glenda Shuttleworth (Jodie Prenger), and the pair headed for a drink at the Rovers. Meanwhile, Celeste confided in Todd Grimshaw (Gareth Pierce) that she has just weeks to live and wants a fabulous funeral, inspired by Dolly Parton.

Fraser Actor Chris Grahamson's Previous Coronation Street Role

As for Fraser actor Chris Grahamson, he is no stranger to appearing on screens. In fact, he previously appeared on Coronation Street from 2010 to 2011. Chris played a church pastor on the ITV soap featured heavily throughout Sophie Webster's (Brooke Vincent) 'coming out' storyline. At first he deemed Sophie and Sian Powers' (Sacha Parkinson) same sex relationship as "sinful" but later went on to accept their romance, and even saved Sophie's life after she fell from the church roof.

As well as TV work, Frances also has a hugely successful stage career. She's performed in productions with the Royal Shakespeare Company alongside Sir Ian McKellen. What's more, Wolverhampton-born Frances has had two Olivier Award nominations for her stage work here and appeared in films including Prick Up Your Ears and An Ideal Husband.

Co-Star's Praise for Frances Barber

Meanwhile talking to Digital Spy, Amy Robbins - who plays Christina Boyd - had nothing but kind words to say about Frances, admitting "it was an utter thrill when she turned up" and said she "couldn't believe it." She said: "She's playing a relative of Bernie's. I have to say she is just so perfect for Corrie – she's everything Corrie women should be! Glamorous, a bit tough round the edges, but soft in the centre – just wonderful."

EastEnders airs Monday to Thursday at 7:30pm on BBC One.
