Eagle-eyed Netflix fans have identified a secret villain they believe is hiding in plain sight in the hit series Wednesday. With only one week until Wednesday season 2 part 2 drops on September 3, viewers have been theorising about what's to come after the first four episodes were released earlier this month.
Attention has turned to Bruno, played by Noah Taylor, who is introduced as Enid's love interest. Fans suspect he may have a darker role, with some suggesting he could be a twist villain. One Reddit user wrote: 'He has to be a twist villain, there's no other reason for him to be there. He has no personality. He conveniently has the exact same trauma as Enid? Sure buddy pack it up.'
Another fan speculated: 'I think Bruno is evil and we are supposed to think he is some bland idiot, but he actually helped Agnes almost kill Enid & him. Enid was talking to thing and we hear a thud (Bruno) and then Enid is knocked out. Maybe we didn’t see Bruno be knocked out because he was faking.'
However, not all fans are convinced. Some argue Bruno serves as a plot device rather than a villain. One Reddit user commented: 'Bruno is barely a character. It's more like he's just a plot device and a way to show how suddenly being accepted by other wolves has changed Enid.' Another added: 'The point is that he’s a springboard for conflict with Enid/Ajax/Wednesday.'
Fans will have to wait until September 3 to see if their theories prove correct when the next instalment of Wednesday arrives on Netflix.
