Charming little villages bursting with character and colour are all over Merseyside - you just need to know where to look. Cobbled pathways through narrow streets with traditional stops like a butchers, cafe or good old fashioned pub are havens only a few are lucky enough to call home.
Popular Villages Across the Region
Some are more popular than others. Woolton village is known far and wide for its beautiful south Liverpool surroundings, while lesser praised locations like Churchtown in Southport have a vast array of independent businesses to rival nearby towns.
The model industrial village of Port Sunlight, the scenic coastal spot Thurstaston, and the historic rural village Rainford all boast their own unique and distinct identity.
