Vinnie Jones and Emma Ford cuddle up at The Gentlemen bash

Vinnie Jones was joined by girlfriend Emma Ford at The afterparty for Netflix's The Gentlemen in London, where the couple looked happier than ever.

The actor, 61, cuddled up to Emma, 61, at the star-spangled bash celebrating the new season of the show. Vinnie first met Emma in 2022 when he employed her as his PA for his TV show, with the pair going public as a couple in 2024.

Finding love after loss

The footballer-turned-actor was left devastated following the death of beloved wife Tanya, 53, in 2019 after her six-year battle with cancer. He has struggled over the years with the grief of losing her, believing he would never be able to love again. But after meeting Emma, Vinnie was able to open himself up again as she helped mend his broken heart.

"You know, after four months, four years, five years, 10 years, you just keep moving forwards, the grief is always going to be in there," Vinnie told the Mirror in 2024. "It's how other things can control it. It's how much the flower can grow and bloom."

"Moving forwards, we meet other people that we are fond of and we fall in love with and vice versa."

The Gentlemen premiere

Vinnie and Emma appeared smitten at the party to celebrate the latest season of the Netflix crime drama. Vinnie - who plays Geoff Seacombe in the show - looked every bit the gentleman in a tobacco brown three-piece checked tweed suit, complete with a matching flat cap.

Emma opted for a glitzy folk look in a long-sleeved mini dress complete with intricate floral embroidery. Gripping onto her glittery clutch, Emma smiled brightly at Vinnie as they posed for photos.

The couple had earlier joined Vinnie's co-stars Theo James, Ray Winstone, Joely Richardson, Kaya Scodelario and Giancarlo Esposito at the Guildhall Art Gallery in London for the premiere.

Emma's promise to Tanya

Two years ago, Vinnie spoke of how Emma had "promised his late wife Tanya she would look after him". Speaking to The Sunday Times, Vinnie said that Emma pledged to "look after him" in honour of his wife Tanya, who tragically passed away from cancer in 2019, aged 53. Vinnie had married Tanya in 1994 but she was diagnosed with skin cancer in 2013 which then spread to her brain.

Vinnie said about Emma: "She said to me that she had had a chat with Tanya and said, 'I'm going to look after him for you'. That was kind of a defining moment for me." The hard-man actor added: "I'm at peace because does she want you to be on your own? No, because you're not going to be happy."

Vinnie credited Tanya with "saving him" and said about his late wife previously: "I take my strength from Tanya. She has given me stability and it is my responsibility to be there for her. She's the most incredible person. We're the perfect match and I was lucky to find her." The first met when they were 12, watching a cricket match in their hometown of Watford and Tanya said of Vinnie: "Even when he was a tearaway lad, I knew he had a good heart."
