Victoria Beckham and Geri Horner enjoyed an evening out together in London on Friday, March 27, supporting Cruz Beckham's band The Breakers at their final gig. The former Spice Girls bandmates were seen grinning in matching white T-shirts, with Victoria posting a photo on Instagram captioned: "Last night! @cruzbeckham @itsthebreakers. Love you @gerihalliwellhorner."
The outing comes after news that the Spice Girls' planned 30th anniversary reunion has been cancelled due to failure to finalise plans in time. The five members – Victoria, Geri, Mel C, Mel B and Emma Bunton – had been in talks for a series of concerts celebrating three decades since their debut single Wannabe.
Mel C confirmed the cancellation during an interview on Australia's KIIS Radio, saying: "No, there is no reunion. We are communicating all the time. We want to do something – who knows when. But I still feel very optimistic and I keep my fingers crossed that you will see the Spice Girls together at some point in the future."
Previous reports indicated that Geri had contacted former manager Simon Fuller and flown to Miami to negotiate a deal. Victoria had earlier expressed interest in a Las Vegas residency at the Sphere, but those plans have also been scrapped. The only confirmed anniversary event is a collectible coin from the Royal Mint.
The Spice Girls last performed as a five-piece at the London 2012 Olympics closing ceremony. In 2019, they toured without Victoria, performing a 13-date sold-out stadium tour of the UK and Ireland, selling 700,000 tickets.
