Victoria Beckham celebrated a major business milestone on Wednesday with the opening of her first House of Victoria Beckham store in the United States, located at Bal Harbour Shops in Miami. The former Spice Girl, 52, was joined by her husband David Beckham, 51, and their younger children Romeo, 23, Cruz, 21, and Harper, 14, as well as Romeo's partner Kim Turnbull, 24, and Cruz's partner Jackie Apostel, 30. However, eldest son Brooklyn, 26, was once again absent, continuing his estrangement from the family.
Family Support Amid Estrangement
Posting on Instagram, Victoria shared snaps from the event, expressing gratitude for the support of her family and friends. She wrote: "So excited to be here tonight in Miami, celebrating the House of Victoria Beckham at @balharbourshops with my family and friends!" Among those commenting was Cruz, who shared a funny meme, and longtime friend Eva Longoria, who wrote: "Congrats babe!!"
Brooklyn's absence comes just days after Victoria extended another olive branch, despite his public statements that he wants nothing to do with his parents. On her wedding anniversary with David, she again referenced her entire family, seemingly hoping for reconciliation. Brooklyn, who lives in the US with his wife Nicola Peltz-Beckham, has ignored all family milestone events over the past year.
Brooklyn's Scathing Statement
Brooklyn previously issued a statement explaining his decision to distance himself, saying: "I do not want to reconcile with my family. I'm not being controlled, I'm standing up for myself for the first time in my life. For my entire life, my parents have controlled narratives in the press about our family. The performative social media posts, family events and inauthentic relationships have been a fixture of the life I was born into." He also claimed that his mother cancelled making Nicola's wedding dress at the last minute and that his parents pressured him to sign away the rights to his name before his wedding.
Miami Store Opening
The new store at Bal Harbour Shops marks Victoria's first retail location outside London, housing both her fashion and beauty lines. For the event, the family dressed in Victoria Beckham designs. Victoria wore a silver silk dress that showcased her slim figure, while Kim opted for an ivory dress. Jackie's dress featured a plunging black design with cream trim. The men wore luxurious loose-fitting looks, including linen trousers and t-shirts.
Meanwhile, Brooklyn continued to promote his own brand, hot sauce Cloud23, bringing in big names such as basketball player Shaqir O'Neal. He has shown no signs of returning to the family fold, maintaining his stance of estrangement.
