The Spice Girls have announced their first tour in a decade, with six UK stadium dates scheduled for June 2019. The foursome—Melanie Brown, Emma Bunton, Geri Horner, and Melanie Chisholm—revealed the news in a video on social media on Monday.
The tour will kick off at Manchester's Etihad Stadium on 1 June 2019, followed by shows in Coventry, Sunderland, Edinburgh, Bristol, and concluding at London's Wembley Stadium. Tickets go on sale on Saturday at 10:30 GMT, with Jess Glynne set to support.
Victoria Beckham will not join the tour due to business commitments with her fashion label. In a statement, she said: "Being in the Spice Girls was a hugely important part of my life and I wish my girls so much love and fun as they go back on tour." Mel B later hinted that Victoria might appear at some shows, saying, "It'd be a shame if she didn't."
The group last performed together as a five-piece at the 2012 London Olympics. Their debut single 'Wannabe' topped charts in 37 countries, and their album 'Spice' sold over 23 million copies worldwide.
