Vicky Pattison Breaks Down Over 'Suffocating' Baby Pressure

Vicky Pattison broke down in tears while discussing her fertility journey on the BBC's Sort Your Life Out Unpacked podcast, admitting she feels 'lost' without a baby. The former Geordie Shore star, 38, confessed that after years of focusing on her career, she now desperately wants to start a family with husband Ercan Ramadan.

Emotional Confession About Motherhood

Fighting back tears, Vicky revealed: 'I didn't think I'd be this age without a baby or a family.' She explained that while she once felt content with her life direction, her perspective has shifted now that she feels ready for motherhood. 'All my whole life I felt so content and so happy and so proud of the things I was doing, and now all of a sudden, because I don't have a baby, I feel a bit lost,' she said.

Egg Freezing Journey

The television personality previously froze her eggs at age 35, resulting in three preserved embryos. She described the procedure as providing peace of mind for her and Ercan as they continue family planning. Vicky expressed hope that fertility preservation would become more accessible and affordable for women in the future.

Pressure After Marriage

Vicky, who married Ercan in 2024 after several years together, has been open about the 'suffocating' pressure to have children post-marriage. Speaking to Women's Health UK last year, she said: 'Women shouldn't be beholden to this invisible timeline. We're fed this narrative that we can have it all and do whatever we want, but it's not necessarily true.' She added that she felt like she was on a 'conveyor belt' but now feels 'free' after freezing her eggs.

Support from Husband

Despite the emotional weight, Vicky praised Ercan, calling him a 'such a great dad' in the making. She joked that he was 'having a lovely time' while she navigates the fertility process, but admitted patience is not her strong suit. The couple is trying not to put excessive pressure on themselves as they plan their future.
