Vicky McClure has been seen enjoying a stunning visit to Norway with her husband Jonny Owen, ahead of her impending return to TV screens.
Relationship and career history
The actress, best known for playing DI Kate Fleming in the BBC's Line of Duty, and Jonny Owen met in 2012 on the set of Svengali, where they played a couple as they fell for one another. The film was directed and written by Jonny.
Since then, they have acted alongside each other in Channel 4 drama This Is England '90. After getting engaged in 2017, they married in 2023, having delayed the ceremony due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Norway getaway
Taking to social media this week, Vicky shared how she and Jonny had escaped the UK for the peace and tranquillity of northern Norway, where they stayed in a gorgeous igloo above the Arctic Circle. The trip comes ahead of her promoting the return of her ITV show Trigger Point.
Sharing a video of pictures and videos from their break, Vicky told her followers: "NORWAY. Genuinely hard to describe our trip to Norway! Never felt so relaxed in my life."
The TV star and dementia campaigner added: "More moments and memories to share…but starting with our time at @isbreentheglacier. Breathtaking views, igloo's of dreams and ran by the most welcoming, fun & kind people. We both feel extraordinarily lucky to have experienced this place on earth."

ITV confirmed the series will start on Sunday, August 30. "I'm delighted that this thrilling series is returning for a fourth series.
