Vanessa Feltz Storms Out of Channel 5 Studio After Talk Show Axed
Vanessa Feltz Storms Out After Talk Show Axed by Channel 5

Vanessa Feltz was left 'furious' after discovering her Channel 5 talk show was cancelled after only one year, according to reports. The eponymous program, described as 'raw, unfiltered, authentic and personal', aired weekdays at 2pm, featuring the 64-year-old TV personality who promised 'fiery discussions, a good giggle and plenty of afternoon gossip'. However, the daily dose of afternoon fun did not make the cut for a return, with Channel 5 confirming the show would end on July 17 'due to afternoon scheduled changes'.

The network stated to Metro: 'We thank Vanessa and her team at ITN for 18 months of warm, witty, wise and searingly honest shows. Vanessa remains a valued member of the 5 family, and we are discussing future projects together.' Sources close to the situation claimed Vanessa was 'blindsided' by the decision and stormed out of the studios in fury when negotiations broke down. An insider told the Daily Mail: 'Vanessa was brought into a meeting after her show came off air this week. She had no idea what the meeting was about and certainly didn't expect to be told it was not being renewed. She feels so blindsided but also let down by bosses.'

Alongside reportedly low ratings, sources claim the show struggled with regular prank calls during the phone-in segment, and strategies to stop them proved ineffective. The Celebrity Big Brother star, who has 'given her all to the show', is said to be 'truly devastated, but also for her team too, many of whom will now need to find new jobs.' The show's run was not without controversy; one moment became the fourth most complained about on British TV in 2025 when Karen Millen criticised breastfeeding beyond six months, garnering thousands of Ofcom complaints. Additionally, the Evening Standard reported its debut episode only attracted 83,000 viewers. At the time, Feltz said: 'I know I've upset a lot of your viewers and that was not my intention.'

Vanessa left her 33-year stint on This Morning in 2025 and launched her rebooted talk show shortly after. She previously told Metro that she would have liked to stay on at ITV daytime as well, but 'I almost believed I'd be able to do that, but I think apparently, it's not the way it's done… but I'd have done it, and I think they would have been happy for me to do it too.' It remains unclear what Vanessa's next move will be. Metro has reached out to Vanessa Feltz's representatives and Channel 5 for comment.
