Taylor Swift's latest album, "The Life of a Showgirl," has dominated headlines since its release on Friday, but during a press appearance in London, the singer also opened up about her recent engagement to NFL star Travis Kelce.
Appearing on "The Graham Norton Show" on Friday, Swift discussed the proposal, sharing new details about the surprise. The couple announced their engagement in August with a social media post that attracted more than 35 million likes, accompanied by the caption: "Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married 🧨."
Swift explained that Kelce proposed after the couple had finished recording an episode of his "New Heights" podcast. While she spent three to four hours filming, Kelce had his back garden turned into an elaborate floral display. "He went all out. 10 out of 10," she said.
The singer also confirmed that the photographs shared on social media were taken during the actual proposal. Kelce had arranged for her tour photographer to hide in a hedge to capture the moment.
Despite the engagement, Swift indicated that wedding planning is not yet under way, as her focus remains on promoting "The Life of a Showgirl." She said: "I want to do the album stuff first. And the wedding is what happens after in terms of planning. I think it will be fun to plan."
