Tom Holland Confirms Marriage to Zendaya: 'I Found My Person'
Tom Holland Confirms Marriage to Zendaya

Tom Holland has confirmed his marriage to Zendaya, months after AI pictures emerged claiming to be of their wedding. The Spider-Man star, 30, opened up about their relationship in a candid interview with Esquire UK.

Tom Holland Sets the Record Straight

In the interview, Holland was asked about the AI-generated wedding photos that flooded social media earlier this year. When questioned if he had to have awkward conversations with loved ones about the images, he simply replied: "No, because they were all there." He added: "That's all you'll get on that."

The couple, who met on the set of Spider-Man: Homecoming in 2016, have kept their relationship largely private. They were first pictured kissing in 2021 and confirmed their engagement three years later. Earlier this year, Zendaya, 29, sparked speculation when she was spotted wearing a wedding ring, with her stylist Law Roach appearing to confirm the ceremony had taken place.

Holland on Finding His Person

Holland reflected on the beginning of their romance, recalling when Zendaya auditioned for the role of MJ. "Obviously, I was super excited at the prospect of working with her and getting to know her. She smashed her audition out the park and got the part before she'd even left the room," he said.

He also spoke about the support they provide each other: "Our business can present very stressful situations and it's really nice to have a bedrock of a relationship that will stand the test of time. We can support each other in ways that only we can, because only we understand really what it's like to live this life."

Holland added: "For me, I found my person. She's my best friend, and I'm the happiest I ever have been when I'm with her, but I also have never felt so supported and safe, ever."

Zendaya's Take on the AI Wedding Photos

Zendaya had previously laughed off the fake wedding pictures during an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! earlier this year. "While I was just out and about in real life, people were like, 'Oh my God, your wedding photos are gorgeous', and I was like, 'Babe, they're AI. They're not real'," she said.

She also discussed her boundaries regarding public interest in her relationship, telling the New York Times' Modern Love podcast: "I just feel like for me there is a level of a parasocial investment in my personal relationship, which I understand. I hear it, but I also have my own little boundaries of what I like to bring up and talk about."

The couple, dubbed Tomdaya by fans, have faced intense scrutiny since being cast together in Spider-Man. Despite the public interest, they have remained private about their relationship, only confirming their romance in November 2021.
