Tom Daley has shared some very candid and previously unseen wedding snaps as he celebrates his ninth anniversary with husband Dustin Lance Black. The diver, 31, shared a lovely image from the wedding as the happy couple walked with family and friends through a beautifully manicured garden. He wrote: 'Nine year wedding anniversary' alongside a little love heart.
Wedding Venue and Family Life
The couple married at a luxury hotel on Dartmoor National Park in Devon. The Bovey Castle Hotel venue is about 30 miles from Tom's home city of Plymouth. He shared a second slightly cheekier image of himself and American screenwriter and director Dustin, 51, standing in their suits alongside one another at the urinals. Dustin and Tom have two sons, both born via surrogate: Robert Ray, seven, and Phoenix Rose, three.
How They Met
Tom and Dustin married in 2017 after four years together. They met at a mutual friend's dinner, and Tom previously told US Weekly that their 17-year age difference feels smaller by the year. Tom said: 'One hundred percent. It's funny because the people that know us know that I'm the more mature person that kind of runs the show in the house.'
'As we get older, I think we both align very well on what we want to achieve. We're both really big dreamers. I think that was the biggest thing for us, that we're both so supportive of each other. We don't limit the other person's dreams. We really make each other feel like we can achieve whatever we set our minds to.'
Tom previously told the Observer: 'It was a real love-at-first-sight thing. The first night, I took him to meet my friends and said "This is my boyfriend". The next night we went on our first date. The next night he asked me to be his boyfriend. The night after that, after a couple of lychee martinis, he told me he loved me.'
