Bruce Willis has made a rare public appearance in Los Angeles, nearly three years after retiring from acting following his aphasia diagnosis. The 69-year-old was photographed sitting in the passenger seat of a vehicle in Studio City, wearing a baseball cap and a striped collared shirt.
The former 'Die Hard' star, who was diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia in 2023, appeared to be enjoying a drive around the neighbourhood with his bodyguards, according to images obtained by Backgrid. He has largely stayed out of the public eye since his condition became known.
His wife, Emma Heming Willis, has become a prominent advocate for frontotemporal dementia awareness, recently completing a six-mile stationary bike ride for the Pedal For Spencer campaign. She continues to care for Bruce, and his ex-wife Demi Moore and their daughters Rumer, Scout and Tallulah remain closely involved in his life.
Tallulah recently gave an update on her father's health, telling E! News that things are "the same which in this situation is a good thing." She added that their visits are filled with love and that she knows he is aware of how much she cares for him.
Rumer has also spoken warmly about her father's bond with her young daughter Louetta, saying Bruce is doing "really good" and that Louetta loves visiting him. Family unity has been a defining feature of his care, with Demi Moore attending granddaughter Mabel's graduation in June.
