Tina O'Brien is enjoying a new happy chapter in her rocky love life. The Coronation Street star, best known for playing Sarah Platt on the ITV soap, has been photographed kissing her new boyfriend, social media personality and paramedic Rory Martin, in Cheshire.
New Romance with Rory Martin
The couple were spotted in a passionate embrace, with Rory wrapping his arm around Tina's shoulders as they walked down the street. Rory, originally from Ireland, has built a sizeable online following with videos showcasing his singing, guitar playing, and golf skills, as well as moments from his work as a paramedic.
Recent Split from Adam Fadle
This new romance comes just months after Tina's split from millionaire ex-boyfriend Adam Fadle. The pair reportedly started dating in summer 2025 and made their public debut at fellow Corrie star Jack P Shepherd's wedding in July. However, the relationship was short-lived. Anonymous sources said Tina ended things after realizing the relationship "wasn't going anywhere." Friends suggested Adam was shocked, believing there was long-term potential. By November, Tina had removed all traces of Adam from her social media, including photos of a romantic trip to Greece.
End of Marriage to Adam Crofts
Tina's relationship with Adam Fadle began just months after the breakdown of her marriage to personal trainer Adam Crofts. Tina and Adam Crofts met in a Manchester coffee shop in 2011. They had son Beau three years later and married in a surprise New Year's Eve ceremony in 2018. The couple were together over a decade before reports emerged of separation after a stressful house move. Sources claimed they grew apart but remained committed to co-parenting their son amicably.
Past Relationship with Ryan Thomas
Tina's marriage was a period of stability after a tempestuous romance with Corrie co-star Ryan Thomas. She initially dated on-screen brother Bruno Langley before moving on to Ryan. In 2007, she admitted to The Mirror: "It was five months later when I got together with Ryan and I was worried about it as he's a friend of Bruno. But we worked hard to make sure there wasn't any tension between the three of us." Tina and Ryan had daughter Scarlett in 2008, but their six-year relationship ended painfully. She told new! magazine: "He said he didn't love me any more. He said I didn't do it for him any more. Those were his words. He said he didn't want the responsibility of a relationship with me."
Co-Parenting Challenges
The pair have had a difficult co-parenting relationship. In 2019, when Ryan announced he was expecting a baby with new partner Lucy Mecklenburgh, Tina's daughter Scarlett burst into tears. Ryan insisted she was crying "happy tears," but Tina set the record straight with cryptic posts: "Don't always trust what you see on social media. Even salt looks like sugar." She later posted: "Don't waste your time with explanations. People will hear what they want to hear." In 2022, Tina allegedly smashed the wing mirror of Ryan's Range Rover with a baseball bat after an explosive argument, leaving the mirror "smashed off" and paintwork chipped.
After her series of public heartbreaks, Tina seems delighted to be partnered with new beau Rory, whom she was visibly excited to see in Cheshire this week.
