A man identifying himself as Lewis Walker from Leicester, wearing a disguise, has claimed he travelled to the year 4413 as part of a secret Government time travel programme. According to his account, humans will no longer exist in their current form, replaced by machines and hybrids.
Flying cars and robot hybrids
Mr Walker said that in 4413, flying cars will fill the skies and machines will replace human flesh and bones. He suggested that the only people not absorbed by robots will be fellow time travellers who visit that era. In 4413, only hybrids of humans and robots will remain.
Speaking to paranormal investigators from the YouTube channel ApexTV, Mr Walker claimed he witnessed unimaginable marvels. He said: "I thought it was amazing they allowed time travellers to visit. I spoke with a few of the robots and they were the nicest people I had ever talked to. Even though they were way more intelligent than any human they had warmth and kindness to them that was unmatched."
Secret programme and top secret base
Until now, only his wife, children, and those who orchestrated his expedition knew of his story. Mr Walker said he was introduced to the Ministry of Defence by his father and by 1977 had risen through the ranks to access time travel technology.
The programme allegedly sought test subjects to send forward in time from a "top secret base at the bottom of the English Channel". He said: "They're not going to like that I'm saying this but so be it."
Scepticism and scientific debate
Not everyone was convinced. The ApexTV video, viewed by over 10,500 people, faced criticism for appearing staged. Viewer Claire Reid said: "It would be more believable if he didn't sound like he was reading lines." Robert Quill added: "Sounds like he's reading from a script. There's no way he could be that fluid in his storytelling unless he was an actor."
The feasibility of time travel remains a topic of scientific debate. William Hiscock, a professor of physics at Montana State University, said: "Time travel into the past, which is what people usually mean by time travel, is a much more uncertain proposition. There are many solutions to Einstein's equation of General Relativity that allow a person to follow a timeline that would result in her or him encountering himself - or her grandmother - at an earlier time. The problem is deciding whether these solutions represent situations that could occur in the real universe, or whether they are mathematical oddities incompatible with known physics."
