Former Apprentice star Thomas Skinner has launched a furious and emotional defence of his family after repulsive online trolls targeted them during the most vulnerable of times – their newborn son's critical health scare.
The reality TV personality, known for his upbeat demeanour, took to Instagram to share a heart-wrenching update on his one-month-old son's condition, revealing the infant had been rushed to hospital and placed on a ventilator. Skinner's joy at his son's birth just weeks ago was shattered when the baby was suddenly admitted to the intensive care unit.
'My poor son is one month old and has been in hospital on a ventilator. He's had a lumber puncture, he's had a camera down his throat and up his nose,' a visibly distressed Skinner explained in a raw video message to his followers.
The emotional father didn't hold back in his condemnation of the keyboard warriors who had chosen to attack his fiancée, Lucy, during this family crisis. He vehemently denied claims that she was 'never with the baby', branding the anonymous critics as 'disgusting human beings' for spreading vile rumours at such a difficult time.
'For you to sit there behind a phone and talk about my missus, who has been in hospital for five days, who hasn't left my son's side... How dare you. You are disgusting,' he stated, his voice filled with a mixture of fury and anguish.
Skinner's powerful message serves as a stark reminder of the very real human cost of online trolling. He concluded his emotional broadcast by pleading for basic human decency, urging people to 'be kind' and think twice before posting hurtful comments, especially when a family is facing a paediatric nightmare.
The family is now focused on their son's recovery, asking for privacy and positivity as they navigate this challenging journey.
