Tess Daly and Vernon Kay's daughter Phoebe hinted at a new 'era' for her famous mother just hours before the couple announced they were separating amicably. The 21-year-old shared a playful TikTok video with Tess, 57, lip-syncing to Salt-N-Pepa's 'Shoop', captioning it: 'Mum's TikTok era pending?'.
The couple, who married in September 2003 and have two daughters, Phoebe and Amber, 16, confirmed their split in a joint Instagram statement on May 8. They wrote: 'After much consideration, and with a deep sense of care and respect for one another, we have made the decision to separate amicably.' They emphasised they 'remain great friends' and are 'fully committed to our roles as loving and supportive parents'.
In the video, Phoebe mouths the lyrics while Tess dances into frame, with fans calling them 'gorgeous', 'divas' and 'iconic'. One follower commented: 'Really lovely to see mother and daughter chilling together, especially when mum is Tess.'
Tess presented Strictly Come Dancing for 21 years before departing in 2025, and was awarded an MBE for services to broadcasting in November 2025. Vernon, 52, hosts BBC Radio 2's mid-morning show and has presented major ITV and BBC programmes.
