Tess Daly and Vernon Kay Split: Vernon Moves Out

Tess Daly and Vernon Kay confirmed their shock break-up after 22 years of marriage, with a fresh update revealing Vernon has officially moved out of the family's six-bedroom Buckinghamshire home.

The estranged duo, known as one of TV's hottest couples, announced their break-up in May 2026. They first met in 2001 and married in 2003, welcoming two daughters, Phoebe, 21, and Amber, 17, during their relationship.

Joint Statement Confirms Amicable Split

In their joint statement, the presenters wrote: "After much consideration, and with a deep sense of care and respect for one another, we have made the decision to separate amicably. This has not been an easy choice, but it comes from a place of mutual understanding and a shared desire for what is best for both of us."

The pair concluded: "We remain great friends and, most importantly, fully committed to our roles as loving and supportive parents, which will always be our priority. There are no other parties involved in this decision. We kindly ask for privacy during this time. We will not be making any further public comments."

Vernon Moves to New Property

Reports indicate Vernon has relocated to a £3million property just 15 minutes away from the family home. The pair reportedly shared a toast with a bottle of champagne to their respective futures after going public with their break-up.

According to a source via the Mirror: "After they released the statement, Vernon and Tess took a moment to toast each other and their futures."

The source added: "They only want the best for each other and their family. There has been no big fallout, more a gradual growing apart and wanting different things. They have vowed to stay friends and to keep things classy when it comes to the split and any future interviews they give."

Public Support and Heartfelt Gestures

After the announcement, Vernon publicly supported Tess as she headed out to Greece to shoot her next campaign for her swimwear brand. The former Strictly host co-founded Naia Beach in 2021 with her long-time friend, Gayle Lawton, and the brand recently launched an activewear line.

Despite parting ways, Tess made a heartfelt gesture toward her marriage by continuing to sport her wedding ring in photos she shared online. She even wore the ring at Wimbledon, which, according to Deborah Papas, Gemologist at Prestige Pawnbrokers, of Channel 4's Posh Pawn, costs a pretty penny. She said: "I estimate the value to be in the region of £250,000."
