Sylvester Stallone has impressed fans with a rare gym video posted on Instagram, showing off his tattooed biceps as he trains at his $35.3 million Palm Beach, Florida mansion. The three-time Oscar nominee, who turns 80 on July 6, captioned the footage: 'Every year it gets harder and harder, but that's why you gotta push harder and harder. Blood, sweat and tears.'
In the selfie video, Stallone described his home gym as 'a sanctuary' or 'church' where he trains to improve. 'You feel better physically, so you have the strength to arrive at your goals feeling confident and ready to face any challenge,' the actor said, adding: 'You want to keep punching. See you soon.'
Fans reacted with amazement on social media. TikTok user @007pattyp wrote: 'You look amazing for 79,' while @armyforlife1962 commented: 'Sly never ages!' On Instagram, @mrkyle87 posted: 'This man is nearly 80. What an inspiration,' and @motohead928 exclaimed: 'Dude is 80! Insane.' Celebrities including Mario Lopez, Robert Patrick, Kim Fields, and producer Randall Emmett also sent shout-outs.
Stallone was last seen publicly using a cane at the Kennedy Center Honors in December. He is currently producing a biopic on Navy SEAL Mike Thornton, set to film in Australia, and his 2013 film Grudge Match recently reached No. 8 on Paramount+ in the US.
