Susan Boyle has expressed her delight after receiving a surprise shoutout from Liam Gallagher during Oasis's Edinburgh show. The Britpop legend dedicated the song 'Stand By Me' to the Britain's Got Talent star as the band wrapped up their Scottish performances at Murrayfield Stadium.
The moment quickly went viral on social media, with fans sharing their amusement. Boyle responded by posting a photo of herself wearing an Oasis T-shirt and a Liam Gallagher bucket hat, giving a thumbs up. She thanked Gallagher on social media, writing: 'Thanks so much for the dedication. You’ve made this old girl’s day. Hope to see you and the rest of Oasis at Wembley in September.'
The official Oasis Instagram account also joined in, sharing snaps from the Edinburgh show with the caption: 'THIS ONE’S FOR SUSAN BOYLE.' The band's reunion tour continues to Dublin, followed by stops in the US, Asia, Australasia, and South America.
Speculation about further dates in 2026 has emerged, with reports of offers for four shows at Knebworth and a possible residency at Manchester City's Etihad Stadium. However, Oasis's manager previously stated that the current dates are the only ones planned, though Liam Gallagher later suggested decisions about the future rest with him and Noel.
