Susan Boyle has surprised fans by releasing a dance remix of the iconic Cornetto jingle, marking a departure from her signature operatic style. The 65-year-old Scottish singer teased her comeback last week with photos showcasing a glamorous new look, including a sleek blonde bob and sunglasses.
The track, a pulsing club remix of the 'Just One Cornetto' jingle originally by Count Giovanni di Regina, was released ahead of schedule on Monday due to popular demand. Boyle described the collaboration as 'serendipitous', revealing she had been singing the original tune to herself days before being approached by the ice cream brand.
In a social media announcement, Boyle wrote that she has brought 'two icons back for summer' and hinted at more to come, stating 'we're not done yet… something special is happening Thursday'. The remix was produced with the help of an unnamed Grammy award-winning dance producer.
Boyle rose to fame in 2009 after her audition for Britain's Got Talent, where she performed 'I Dreamed a Dream'. She has since achieved three UK number one albums and two Grammy nominations. Last year, actor Timothée Chalamet named her among his top five Britons, praising her BGT audition as an inspiration.
