Strictly Come Dancing is gearing up for its new series, and excitement is building as three celebrities have already been announced. However, a potential fourth name may have accidentally been revealed live on air during an appearance on The One Show.
Three Confirmed Celebrities
Lacey Turner, Dani Dyer, and Delta Goodrem are the first names confirmed to take to the dance floor this winter. More names are expected to be announced in the coming weeks before the show typically kicks off in September.
Emma Barton's Slip-Up
During a segment on The One Show, Emma Barton, who played Honey in EastEnders and previously participated in Strictly, was chatting with hosts Alex Jones and Roman Kemp. As Alex announced Lacey Turner's involvement, she asked Emma, "Have you spoken to her? How is she feeling?" Emma replied, "She's such a gorgeous wonderful woman and the audience are going to love her. And I'm so proud of her because it's nerve-racking, isn't it. And it's scary."
Emma then turned to Roman and said, "Roman you know as well," but he quickly stuttered, "I have never done it. I've never done it." This exchange led to speculation that Roman Kemp might be a contestant, though he denied it.
Other Expected Names
Cyclist Dame Sarah Storey is also rumored to be joining the lineup, though official confirmation is pending.
Celebrity Reactions
Lacey Turner expressed her excitement: "I am so excited to be making my way to the dance floor this year... I am a huge fan and can't quite believe I will be taking part." Dani Dyer, who had to withdraw last year due to injury, said, "I am so excited to be back in the ballroom this September! Hopefully this time I can make it to week one!" Delta Goodrem added, "I'm absolutely thrilled to be joining Strictly and can't wait to get started!"
