A male star of BBC's Strictly Come Dancing, arrested in October on suspicion of rape, will not face charges, police have confirmed. The man, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was arrested in London on 13 October over an alleged incident in Hertfordshire during 2024.
Hertfordshire Police said the suspect was released on bail pending further inquiries. However, a police spokesperson later stated: 'Following a thorough investigation, we have concluded that no further action will be taken against the individual.' The alleged victim was not a contestant or professional dancer on the show.
The BBC declined to comment on the ongoing investigation at the time of the arrest. This case is separate from another male Strictly star arrested in August on suspicion of rape and non-consensual intimate image abuse, which remains under investigation.
