Strictly Come Dancing has confirmed its second contestant for the 2026 series, and it is a returning star. Dani Dyer will be making a comeback to the dance floor later this year.

The news was officially revealed on Thursday, 11 June, via the official @bbcstrictly social media channels. Dani was originally part of the Strictly 2025 cast but had to withdraw before the competition began due to an injury. She will now return to compete for the Glitterball Trophy.

Speaking about her return, Dani Dyer said: “I am so excited to be back in the ballroom this September! I just cannot wait to get my dancing shoes back on and hopefully this time around I can actually make it to week one! I’m just over the moon and cannot wait to find out who else is doing it!”
