The Stirling and Bridge of Allan Operatic Society (SABOS) Youth group is set to present Disney's 'The Little Mermaid Jr' at Dunblane's Victoria Hall for a limited three-show run on July 10 and 11. The production features performers aged between seven and eighteen, offering a rare opportunity to see local youth showcase their talents.
Show Details and Performances
Inspired by the beloved animated film and the award-winning Broadway musical, this junior adaptation bursts with energy, classic Disney magic, and unforgettable songs – including Under the Sea, Part of Your World, and Poor Unfortunate Souls. There are three performances across the two days: a 6.30pm showing on both days, with an extra matinee performance on Saturday afternoon at 2.30pm.
Previous Success and Mentorship
Following their recent hit runs of Matilda Jr and The Wizard of Oz, the company's intensive summer rehearsal week brings together local youth alongside experienced adult mentors from the main SABOS company. According to a spokesperson, the show offers a rare chance to see the results when local kids are given the chance to find their voices.
