Stacey Solomon's first look at new home after Pickle Cottage

Stacey Solomon has been flooded with support as she shared the first look at her family’s new home after they said goodbye to Pickle Cottage.

During the week, Stacey and her husband, Joe Swash revealed on social media that they had already left Pickle Cottage. Stacey and Joe announced they had sold what they described as their ‘dream home’.

Move from Pickle Cottage

The famous couple moved into the Tudor-style Essex property in 2021, with Stacey documenting the renovations in her book, Tap To Tidy Pickle Cottage. She kept her millions of Instagram followers updated on any changes to her family's home along the way.

Despite still loving the property, former X Factor singer Stacey said she and Joe have now bought a new home ‘further out’. They intend to grow their own vegetables, with Stacey's current vegetable patch on the land belonging to a neighbouring farmer, and have space to rescue more animals.

Reasons for the move

Stacey said: "We are leaving Pickle Cottage. We’re moving out of Pickle Cottage, which I never, ever thought I’d say, imminently. The reason that we haven’t said anything up until this point is because anyone who’s ever moved before knows what it’s like, you don’t know if it’s going to happen until it actually happens.

“Leaving Pickle Cottage was a massive, massive decision for us, we had a lot of people we need to speak to, we had to get the kids around to the idea. We needed to speak to all of our lovely neighbours, our lovely friends in the area. Even the thought of selling Pickle Cottage felt impossible. We’ve just waited until someone amazing came along and fell in love with Pickle Cottage.

“Pickle Cottage is our dream house. As soon as we moved there we fell in love with it, I still love it so, so much. It’s a really special place to us, I gave birth to both the girls there, we got married there."

First look at new home

Former EastEnders star Joe said of the move: "It’s the best for our family." He added that it was not an easy decision for the couple as they had built their lives at Pickle Cottage, but they believe their new home will allow the family to "flourish".

Returning to Instagram on Friday (September 4), Stacey shared the first photos of her new family home. Stacey shared a heartwarming picture of herself, Joe, and their children posing on their home’s front step.

On top of this, she shared a snap of her new keys. She captioned her post: “Home [house emoji] is wherever I’m with you… Pickle Project, Here We Go.”

The comments section of Stacey’s post saw her fans rushing to once again express that they’re sad to see Pickle Cottage go. However, they’re all very excited to see what she does with her new home.
