Stacey Solomon has shared more details about why she decided to leave her beloved Pickle Cottage home, revealing that security and privacy had become a concern. The Loose Women panellist announced the move earlier this week and has now admitted she won't be making the same mistake again.
Security and Privacy Concerns
Sharing a sneak peek inside her new £2million mansion, Stacey took to Instagram to explain her decision. She wrote: "I can't wait to properly have some days off work and show you all around... I'm not going to show the outside of the house this time around, just for security and privacy reasons. We had some issues at Pickle Cottage in the end, and it's safer to just not show the building itself."
Back in 2021, the TV star explained that she had tightened security around her "dream home" over fears that it would be a "burglar's dream". Fans had been asking for a floor plan of her home, so she shared a response as a video.
Stacey said: "So many of you have asked me this one. I would love to do full house tour from the front door all the way through and put floor plans up but I'm scared it's a burglar's dream."
Moving to a New Home
The 36-year-old lifestyle guru previously shared that they were leaving the Cottage as they were looking for a new place to "rescue more animals and grow more vegetables". They decided to move to a countryside mansion in Essex, and according to the Mirror, the new home features eight bedrooms and six reception rooms, but it's all about the outdoor space for Stacey and Joe.
Announcing the news with their fans, in a joint video, Joe said: "We have found somewhere where we can see our family growing and flourishing, and this is the place I think."
Giving hints to the fans, Stacey said the new home is a very different place compared to Pickle Cottage, adding: "It does need a lot of love."
New Beginnings
Sharing a picture of their new abode on Instagram, Stacey, Joe and their five children sat by the front door at their new home, which features beautiful tiles and heritage-looking front doors. Right behind is a white wooden-framed door and frosted glasses. In another photo, Stacey held up her new home keys accessorised with a smiley keyring.
She posted: "Home is wherever I'm with you… Pickle Project, Here We Go."
