Spencer Matthews and Vogue Williams feel 'lonely' after fourth child

Spencer Matthews and Vogue Williams welcomed their fourth child, baby Remy, earlier this month, and the reality TV star has admitted both he and his wife "feel a bit lonely" as he opened up on their "disturbed bubble".

The couple now have four children aged eight and under, with newborn Remy joining Theodore, eight, Gigi, six, and four-year-old Otto. The 38-year-old former Made in Chelsea star painted a chaotic picture of life in a rented London house while their permanent home undergoes renovations.

Living in a 'disturbed bubble'

Speaking to Jamie Laing on the NewlyParents podcast, Spencer said: "Not complaining, we are in that lovely bubble with three other young kids in a rental house because we're building our house. To be honest, the bubble feels a bit disturbed."

He added: "Vogue and I, both in our own ways, feel a bit lonely at the moment. We have four kids, there has to be a system in place."

The family moved out of their long-time Battersea apartment at the start of this year and have secured planning permission for major renovations on their London home, making it hard to find quiet space in their full house.

Sleeping in separate beds

Spencer described the challenge of finding a quiet spot for work calls, saying: "There's a lot going on in our house. Yesterday I had two calls in the afternoon, I left the office, had two calls in the afternoon from home. I'm trying to find somewhere in the house that didn't look mad to take this call that didn't have other people in it."

When Jamie suggested the kitchen, Spencer responded: "The kitchen? Are you mad. The kitchen's the hub of the house. There's always someone doing something in the kitchen."

He also revealed that he and Vogue are currently sleeping in separate beds to keep the household running. He explained: "For us both to have broken sleep is unhelpful to the rest of the family flow. So right now, the system is Vogue and the baby sleep in a big double bed on their own. And Vogue manages the night feeds, just her and the child. I sleep in the spare room, at the moment with both boys."

Baby name almost changed

It comes after Vogue revealed that little Remy almost had a very different name. The couple had been preparing to call their son Elvis, but Vogue said they got cold feet after Spencer received "phone calls from family members".

Speaking on the My Therapist Ghosted Me podcast with Joanne McNally, she admitted: "We have changed our baby name – we have no name. I haven't ever been 100% comfortable with it."

Vogue conceded that taking on a name like Elvis could be difficult as he grows up or tries to get a job as an adult.
