Soap opera legend Jennifer Harmon has died at the age of 82. Harmon, best known for her portrayal of the villainous Cathy Craig Lord on the daytime drama One Life to Live from 1976 to 1978, passed away on Saturday, May 9, her family confirmed in an online obituary.
The actress earned a Daytime Emmy nomination in 1978 in the category of Outstanding Actress in a Daytime Drama Series for her role as the evil Lord. Harmon was notably the fifth actress to take on the role, following Catherine Burns, Amy Levitt, Jane Alice Brandon, and Dorrie Kavanaugh. She played Lord until the character's final appearance in November 1978.
In addition to her work on One Life to Live, Harmon portrayed Chris Kirby on How to Survive a Marriage during its entire run from 1974 to 1975. Her career also included appearances on other popular television shows, cementing her status as a beloved figure in the soap opera genre.
