Sharon Stone has revealed that she once went on a date with rapper Nelly, surprising fans with the admission during an appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen.
When host Andy Cohen asked the 67-year-old actress whether she had ever dated the 'Hot in Here' singer, Stone burst into laughter and replied, “Yes, I did.” Asked if there was a follow-up date, she simply said, “No, I did not.”
The revelation comes as Nelly, whose real name is Cornell Iral Haynes Jr., is married to singer Ashanti. The couple married in December 2023 and welcomed their first child together in July last year.
Ashanti previously described her romance with Nelly as a blessing, telling Essence: “This new year of my life is such a blessing full of love, hope and anticipation. Motherhood is something that I have looked forward to, and sharing this with my family, fiancé, and loyal fans is an amazing experience.”
Stone’s comments about Nelly came shortly after she discussed her late mother’s final words in an interview with The Guardian. She recalled her mother saying, “You talk too much, you make me want to commit suicide,” adding that her mother was in “delirium” at the time.
Stone concluded: “But that’s how she was. This lack of ability to find tenderness and peace within herself.”
