Sharon Osbourne Reveals Ozzy's Final Words: 'Kiss Me. Hug Me Tight'

Sharon Osbourne has opened up for the first time about the final moments of her husband, Black Sabbath frontman Ozzy Osbourne, who died in July at the age of 76. In an interview on Piers Morgan Uncensored, Sharon, 73, revealed that Ozzy's last words to her were: 'Kiss me. Hug me tight.'

Ozzy died at their home in Buckinghamshire on 22 July. According to Sharon, he had been restless during the night, telling her to 'wake up' after she had already been disturbed by his movements. He later went downstairs to the gym for an early workout, despite his ill health. Sharon found him slumped over and screamed for help. 'I knew instantly he'd gone,' she told Morgan. Paramedics attempted resuscitation, and he was airlifted to hospital, but efforts were unsuccessful. His official cause of death was a heart attack and acute myocardial infarction.

Sharon also discussed Ozzy's final performance, a farewell show with Black Sabbath weeks before his death. She said his doctor had warned that the show could kill him, but Ozzy was determined. 'He didn't want to die on stage, he didn't. But he did it his way,' she said. She described his funeral procession in Birmingham as 'like a dream,' adding that it was 'overwhelmingly warm' to see how much he was loved in his hometown.
