Shania Twain Stuns The One Show Fans at 60

Shania Twain, the iconic country music star, left viewers of The One Show astonished with her remarkably youthful appearance during a recent appearance on the BBC programme. The singer, who celebrated her 60th birthday last year, joined hosts Alex Jones and Angellica Bell on Wednesday, June 3, to discuss her latest musical projects.

However, many fans tuning in found themselves distracted by Twain's ageless looks, taking to social media to express their amazement. One viewer posted a screenshot of the star on X, accompanied by a hearts-in-eyes emoji, highlighting that Shania is 60. Another fan simply stated they "loved" the star, while a third asked, "Does Shania age?"

"She's looking good for 60 and her lips still move," commented another amused viewer. A different admirer wrote: "Shania ages like a fine wine; she looks absolutely amazing. Can't wait to see her in Wembley this month."

Emotional Tribute to Her Late Mother

During the interview, Twain spoke about her new album Little Miss Twain, describing it as a heartfelt tribute to her mother, who passed away in 1987. Her mother never witnessed her daughter's rise to fame, and Twain shared the emotional weight of that loss.

"It is very sad that my mother didn't live long enough to see my success," Twain said. "Her dream was always that I would be a childhood country star, but that wasn't meant to be. I would make it only as an adult. And yes, not early enough for my mother to see it, but my mother was very pushy about getting me on stage. And it wasn't my favourite place to be when I was eight years old in smoky bars. But thanks to her, I was up there learning my chops and preparing for what would come eventually."

The singer, known for chart-topping hits such as You're Still the One and That Don't Impress Me Much, added: "And I really miss not having her around for now these days here and just to be able to buy her a new car."

The One Show airs weekdays at 7pm on BBC One.
