A primary school teacher has become the latest contestant to leave The Great British Sewing Bee, and she has now spoken publicly about her exit. Adele was eliminated during the music week episode that aired on Tuesday, August 25, missing out on a place in the quarter-final.

Emotional statement after elimination

In a social media post, Adele described her time on the show as a fantastic experience. She said she is proud that she pushed herself to take part despite feeling overwhelmed by nerves. She also thanked her husband Steve and her mother for their support during filming.

Adele said she never expected to reach episode 7, having only started dressmaking five years ago after being encouraged by the show. She described the experience as a dream come true.
