Love Island's Sean Explains Why He's Not 'Official' with Lola Yet
Sean Explains Why He's Not 'Official' with Lola Yet

Former Love Island stars Sean Fitzgerald and Lola Deal have shared their future plans in a major relationship update, revealing they are not yet 'official' but have big plans for traveling and moving in together.

Exit from the Villa

The duo were the sole original couple left in the villa, having paired up in the opening episode. It appeared nothing could come between them despite Sean's early appetite for drama. However, they became the most recent contestants to be booted from the ITV reality dating programme following a surprising twist. The public were invited to vote for just the second time in the entire series to select their preferred couple. Lorenzo and Julia emerged victorious with the highest number of votes. Yet their unwelcome reward was to decide who should be eliminated from those who garnered the fewest votes, which included Lola and Sean alongside Martha and Jordan, plus Mica and Samraj.

Convincing Lorenzo

Seeing the choice was causing Lorenzo anguish, Lola and Sean persuaded him to send them packing. Now they have broken their silence for the first time since departing together, revealing their future intentions.

Not Yet Official

During a brief stint on Aftersun, presenter Maya Jama enquired if they were 'official'. Sean responded: 'No we haven't made it official. I had a big plan of what to do. I was going to bring her to spots in the villa where I acted weird. There was the spot where I pretended to be a sleep paralysis demon, there was the impressions and I had a song written for her and was going to bring her up to the Terrace and ask her in a really nice way. I haven't done it yet because I want it to be special.'

Future Plans

Despite not yet being officially together, the pair have some major supporters rooting for their future. During their exit interview Q&A, Sean also disclosed: 'We talk about the future all the time. She has dates planned for me over in Kent and London, then I have dates planned in Dublin and Galway. I think the plan is that we want to do a bit of travelling first. We want to go to a few different places, maybe Thailand, Australia and around there.'

But that's not all - after spending more time holidaying together, this time away from the cameras, they're already planning to move in together. Sean added: 'Then obviously she said she wants to move to Dublin. We're going to get a little apartment and start life together.'

Lola's Excitement

Lola backed up the plans and also revealed she's most excited about doing the mundane everyday things together. She said: 'We're so excited. All we did in there was talk about the future and now we actually get to start that next chapter. We've got loads of plans. I've said I'll move to Dublin, which I'm so excited about. I can't wait to watch one of his football matches. We've talked about travelling together and just enjoying normal life. Honestly, the things we're most excited about are the boring things. Having a Chinese, watching a movie. He loves a chick-flick, so I couldn't have found a better boy. He's literally my dream man.'

Love Island continues at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.
