Helen Flanagan has spoken candidly about her feelings for former fiancé Scott Sinclair, 16 months after their split. The 33-year-old actress and the Bristol Rovers footballer were together for 11 years and share three children: Matilda, seven, Delilah, five, and Charlie, two.
In an interview with The Sun, Flanagan said: 'I love Scott and I know that he loves me, but I suppose we just don’t like each other very much at the moment. We don’t really speak and there’s no point in pretending that we’re the best of friends when we’re not.' She added that the emotion between them remains 'too raw' but expressed hope for a better relationship in the future.
Discussing the breakdown of their relationship, Flanagan admitted she struggled with her mental health after Charlie's birth in 2021, which put strain on the partnership. She described Sinclair as 'a good guy' but felt he 'wasn’t very good with emotions.' She also noted that they grew apart, each focusing on their own work and friends.
Now back on the dating scene, Flanagan is using the VIP app Raya. She recently shared a video on Instagram with her daughter Matilda, who expressed approval of a potential date, calling him 'really hot.' Flanagan confessed to feeling nervous about dating after spending most of her 20s either pregnant or breastfeeding.
The former Coronation Street star, who underwent a boob job earlier this year, said she has grown as a person and gained new confidence, despite making 'some mistakes' over the past year.
