Scarlett Moffatt has opened up about her major worry ahead of the birth of her second child. The former Gogglebox star is preparing to welcome her new baby, and her biggest concern is that her son Jude won't fully understand what is happening when the new sibling arrives.
Concern over Jude's reaction
Speaking exclusively to Express.co.uk, Scarlett admitted that she hopes Jude won't be disappointed. "We got him a doll and I must admit, he still does gouge the eyes a little bit. But it's just a doll, so it's fine. But he's so excited, and I just hope that he's not disappointed."
She added: "I've got a couple of books that explain that babies don't really play straight away because he keeps saying, 'Is my brother out yet? Will he play Spider-Man?' And I'm like, 'He will eventually, but don't expect too much big things. He's not going to come out and start pretending to shoot webs yet, and it will take a long time. He will just sleep the most'."
Staying positive after past difficulties
Scarlett noted that because Jude was premature and she had to have an emergency C-section, she feels mentally prepared even if the worst happens. "I feel like I've done that. So even if the worst happens, I'm sort of mentally prepared for [that]. So, I'm staying positive. [But] I should really pack a hospital bag. That's on my to-do list. But I have got a list of everything that I need, so I'm halfway there."
She also revealed that it took her and her partner Scott Dobinson 'so long to have Jude', and that she has a New Year's Eve tradition of writing down her goals. "I wrote having another baby. We had the chat before, but sometimes it could be a bit heartbreaking when it doesn't happen straight away. [But] this happened very soon."
