Dunn, who first appeared on Hollyoaks in 1996, said she joined OnlyFans to take back control of her image after seeing how photographs of her were used elsewhere without her consent. She has since found financial success on the platform but remains keen to pursue acting roles.
A Hollyoaks spokesperson defended the decision, stating that the show is a 'youth-facing drama with many young viewers' and that they take their responsibility to their audience seriously. The show does not allow cast members to be active on certain 18+ websites.
Dunn has not ruled out a return to Hollyoaks but is open to other acting opportunities. She hopes that the industry will be more understanding of her choices and that she can continue her career in television.
