Pete Wicks' Hilarious Dig at Sam Thompson References Ex Zara McDermott's Famous 'You Can!'

Pete Wicks has playfully mocked Sam Thompson's ex-girlfriend Zara McDermott's iconic 'you can!' moment from Made In Chelsea while supporting his friend during a gruelling 260-mile charity challenge. The parody came as Sam, 34, neared the halfway mark of his Soccer Aid Challenge, which has already raised over £604,000.

In a video shared on the Staying Relevant podcast TikTok page, Pete held up a sign reading 'You can do it... YOU CAAAN!' and shouted the phrase in the same tone Zara used in 2019 when she begged Sam to forgive her infidelity. Sam, who was cycling, burst into laughter at the reference.

Earlier in the day, Sam was moved to tears when Pete surprised him to mark the halfway point of the 'intensely painful' challenge. Sam is expected to run a marathon for five consecutive days and cycle between segments, aiming to deliver a ball by June 6 ahead of the Soccer Aid kickoff on June 15.

Sam also received a motivational FaceTime call from his former Made In Chelsea co-star Jamie Laing, who completed his own ultra marathon in March, raising £2.3 million. Jamie, 36, advised Sam: 'Your body is screaming for you to give up. Every single moment, you just keep going.' Sam teared up, saying, 'Seeing your face just then has literally just made my day.'
