Rylan Clark's mother, Linda, has been rushed to hospital after slipping on ice and fracturing her shoulder. The 73-year-old shared the incident on Rylan's BBC Radio 2 show on Saturday, explaining that she mistook ice for water while taking out the rubbish.
Speaking live on air, Linda described the fall: "I just went flying and I hurt my arm again." She added that the injury was "so sore" and had turned "black" from bruising. Rylan expressed concern, saying, "Well that was a lovely phone call I got that morning, you on your way to the hospital."
Rylan later reassured listeners that his mother was recovering, stating, "She's fractured her shoulder, I just can't help her, you know what she's like, rushing around doing stuff. In all fairness, though, it was an accident; she just slipped on some ice."
This is not the first health scare for Linda; last year, Rylan missed his Radio 2 show after she was hospitalised with an illness ahead of her 73rd birthday. He updated fans on Instagram at the time, saying antibiotics had worked and she was allowed home.
