Ruth Langsford pulled out all the stops for her 66th birthday, embarking on a girls' trip to the sun-drenched French Riviera city of Cannes. The Loose Women presenter took to Instagram to offer fans a glimpse into the joyous celebrations, which included a fun-filled night at the renowned La Petite Maison restaurant with friends and her close pal, Lizzie Cundy.

Dressed in a sparkling black gown, Ruth danced the evening away as a live band performed a series of popular hits. Earlier in the day, the group enjoyed an alfresco lunch, where Ruth was presented with a sparkler as everyone sang Happy Birthday to her. She appeared to be having an absolute blast, sipping on a glass of white wine and captioning her post: 'So this is 66! Spending my birthday with friends in the sunshine in the South of France Bliss! Happy St. Patrick’s Day.'

Earlier this month, Ruth revealed she is 'open' to the idea of dating someone new following her divorce from Eamonn Holmes. The television star separated from Eamonn, 66, in May 2024 after 14 years of marriage. Ruth is believed to have remained single since the highly publicised split from her husband after 27 years together.
In a new interview on Heart FM's Breakfast Show, Amanda Holden asked Ruth if she was 'open to another relationship.' She replied: 'Never say never. Right now I'm perfectly happy, I've got a full life and great friends and lots of work. I've said I'm going forward with an open mind and an open heart.'
Amanda's co-host Jamie Theakston noted that the modern dating world is very different and questioned if dating apps were on the agenda. Ruth laughed and said: 'Oh god, I won't be swiping. If I'm going to do it, Jamie, I want to do it the old-fashioned way. You know, that I might just walk out of here, bump into somebody and go 'oh sorry' and then find myself having a coffee with them. I don't know, but I won't be swiping anyone.'
