Tim Curry, the legendary film and TV actor best known for playing Dr Frank-N-Furter in the cult classic musical film The Rocky Horror Picture Show, has died aged 80.
The actor died late on Tuesday (August 25) at his Los Angeles home, TMZ reports. He had been battling serious health issues for more than a decade.
Early life and career
Born Timothy James Curry in Warrington in 1946, Curry was the younger child of Patricia, a school secretary, and James, a Methodist chaplain for the Royal Navy. He had an older sister, Judith – a concert pianist, who died in 2001.
