Former boxing champion Ricky Hatton has had a fall from grace after being the first celebrity eliminated from Dancing On Ice. The 45-year-old took to his local pub on Monday night to drown his sorrows, but ended up face-first on the floor after trying to roller skate.
Hatton was voted out of the ITV show on Sunday following a skate-off against Lou Saunders and Brendyn Hatfield. He admitted he was 'gutted' to leave and praised his professional partner Robin Johnstone for her hard work.
In a video posted on Instagram, Hatton is seen donning roller skates at the bar before attempting to skate back to his seat. However, he gained too much speed and crashed through a door, landing on his face. Fans found the clip hilarious, with one calling him 'the people's champ'.
Despite the early exit, Hatton said he was happy with his progress and plans to continue skating. He added: 'I may be out in the first round but I had a great time, and I met some wonderful friends.'
