Rav Wilding, the BBC presenter known for Crimewatch Live and Morning Live, has separated from his wife Jill Morgan and subsequently began a relationship with his co-star Rebecca Mason, though reports indicate they have also parted ways.
Career Journey
Wilding, 48, from Kent, has been a television presence for over two decades. Before his media career, he served in the British Army, worked as a security guard at Harrods, and was a police officer with the British Transport Police and Metropolitan Police. His policing work led to his television debut on Crimewatch in 2004, and he has fronted Crimewatch Live since its inception as Crimewatch Roadshow. He left the police in February 2008 to focus on presenting.
He competed on Strictly Come Dancing in 2009 with Aliona Vilani, becoming the third contestant eliminated. Other TV appearances include The One Show, Helicopter Heroes, Frontline Fightback, Scam Interceptors, and celebrity editions of The Weakest Link, Ready Steady Cook, and Celebrity Mastermind. In 2010, he traveled to Afghanistan for a BBC Remembrance Week series, during which a bomb explosion killed a soldier. He has also revealed he has dyslexia and dyspraxia.
Love Life
Wilding dated Celebrity Big Brother winner Chantelle Houghton in 2010, but they split after a year following a public disagreement. A friend told the Mirror: 'Rav thought Chantelle could be a long-term love, but now he realises she wasn't interested in him. Every time they went jogging or out on dates, there seemed to be photographers or stories in the media. He was being set up and is upset that he fell for it and got involved. He wants nothing more to do with Chantelle.'
He then began a relationship with celebrity producer Jill Morgan in 2012. They married in Barbados in 2017 and have a young daughter. The couple separated in 2024, with Wilding stating: 'For those asking questions myself and Jill amicably separated last year. Our focus is co-parenting our hugely loved and beautiful daughter.'
Wilding later dated his Morning Live co-presenter Rebecca Mason, a police detective specializing in online romance fraud and scams who provides expert commentary on the show. However, reports have emerged that the couple have since parted ways.
