Rachel Riley is getting ready for a period of separation from her husband, Pasha Kovalev, as he gears up for another dance tour. The Countdown star opened up about the challenges of "solo parenting" their two daughters, Maven and Noa, while Pasha is away.
Managing the Summer Holidays
In an interview with New magazine, Rachel explained that Pasha will be rehearsing during the school summer holidays before his autumn tour. She admitted it's a "juggle" when she's also filming, but said they manage by keeping busy with playdates.
Rachel and Pasha met when they were partnered on Strictly Come Dancing in 2013 and quickly fell in love. They now have two children together.
Children Learning About Fame
Asked whether their daughters know their parents are famous, Rachel told Heat magazine that the kids are starting to find out through school friends. She has taken part in STEM week at their school, and Pasha is set to do a dance week.
Rachel also dismissed any plans to renew their vows, noting they had only two guests at their Las Vegas wedding. As she is Jewish, a church wedding wouldn't be possible, and her mother would be upset if they returned to Vegas.
Pasha's Strictly Struggles
Rachel previously revealed that Pasha became a "shell of himself" during intense Strictly rehearsals, describing him as a "zombie." However, they coped by traveling together during breaks to keep their relationship strong.
