Queen Camilla Sparks Concern at Wimbledon Amid Heatwave

Queen Camilla sparked concern among Wimbledon viewers on Wednesday evening as she appeared to struggle with the intense heat while watching matches from the Royal Box. The Queen Consort, dressed in a light blue long-sleeved dress, was seen using a small fan to cool down but still looked uncomfortable, prompting fans to express their worries on social media.

Fans React to Camilla's Discomfort

With temperatures soaring during the British heatwave and no shade or hat available in the Royal Box, spectators noted that Camilla appeared to be "wilting." One user on X wrote: "The excitement and heat are going to kill Queen Cam. She's wilting, poor thing. #Wimbledon." Another added: "Queen Camilla is roasting. Get her a drink of water and a large hat. #Wimbledon." A third commented: "Camilla looks like she is melting. #Wimbledon."

Royal Presence at the Championships

Camilla was joined by her sister Annabel Elliott in the grandstand. They watched Jasmine Paolini face Marta Kostyuk, followed by British hopeful Arthur Fery's quarter-final match against Italian Flavio Cobolli. Before the match, Camilla surprised Fery by sneaking up behind him as he prepared, shaking his hand and having a quick chat. BBC presenter Clare Balding remarked: "It's the Queen, right behind them. I love this! And she's going to go and say hello to Arthur before he steps out on court!" Balding added, "As Tim (Henman) says, Arthur Fery has been able to manage everything so far as if he's been doing it his whole life. He's a very, very cool customer."

Meeting with Heather Watson

Camilla also met with former British number one Heather Watson. Watson told the Press Association: "She's super down-to-earth. I started sweating profusely with nerves. She asked me about Wimbledon and my career." Watson added, "She was lovely. I met the previous Queen, I think it was over 10 years ago now, in exactly the same sort of place with Laura (Robson)."
