Katie Price has revealed that her 13-year-old daughter, Princess Andre, has vowed never to have plastic surgery after witnessing the difficulties her mother has faced with cosmetic procedures. The former glamour model, 42, shared the news during an appearance on Channel 4's Steph's Packed Lunch on Wednesday.
Quoting her daughter, Katie said: "Princess has said, 'I'll never have surgery Mum, especially seeing what you've gone through'. She would never do it." The television personality, who had her first breast augmentation at 18, spoke candidly about the impact of social media on young people's perceptions of beauty.
Katie, who works as a roving reporter for the show, insisted that her own children are aware that images online are often altered. "My kids have been brought up in this industry, so they know, but most girls aren't and they really believe what they see," she said. "If I could get it into girls' heads, don't be fooled by what you see on social media, it's not real."
The mother-of-five advised that women should wait until they are 21 before considering cosmetic surgery. "I'm not sitting here being a hypocrite because I know I've had stuff done, but I am older. When you're 18 it's too young. I was 18 and when I look back, it's too young," she explained. Despite this, she said she has no regrets about her own procedures, noting that she started her career before airbrushing and filters were widespread.
Katie also revealed that she uses filters on her own photos but would be happy to appear without makeup. Elsewhere in the interview, she discussed her recent engagement to Carl Woods, with the couple planning to have a baby together, which would be her sixth child.
