Prince Harry has said he has "taken the power" by telling his own story in a new interview with GQ magazine. The 42-year-old covered a wide range of topics, including his experience of grief, his time in the military, his relationship with the press and why he has returned to the UK.
Controlling the Narrative
Speaking about the narrative he feels the media has created for him, Harry told the publication: "...I've been really criticised for telling my story. I find it fascinating because everybody else is allowed to tell their version of my story, but God forbid I should be able to tell the other side of it."
He added that he feels he has "taken the power", saying: "So it's interesting, but just by telling my own story, it takes away a lot of power from other people."
Family Feud and UK Return
The interview also touched on his ongoing feud with his family, with Harry revealing once again that he would like to reconcile with Prince William.
The release of the interview coincided with the royals stepping out in Windsor for the historic state visit of Oman, a timing that raised eyebrows.
