Prince Harry made a rare personal revelation about his son Prince Archie during a visit to Birmingham Children's Hospital on Thursday, disclosing that the seven-year-old is an avid Lego enthusiast.
Harry's Admission About Archie
While speaking with 12-year-old patient Alec Hill, the Duke of Sussex shared: "Do you know who's obsessed with Lego? My son Archie – and he's a master builder." This marks one of the few public insights into Archie's interests, as Harry and Meghan Markle typically keep their children's lives private.
Visit to Birmingham Children's Hospital
Harry's visit was part of his ongoing UK trip and focused on the WellChild charity, of which he is patron. He met with nurses involved in a specialist nursing programme run by WellChild, as well as children and their families. The duke thanked the nurses for their dedication, acknowledging the challenges they face due to resource constraints. He told them: "I don't know if you hear it enough, the difference that you make every single day is quite literally changing daily lives. I understand, and we understand, that becomes harder every week with cuts and financial difficulties… just the insanity that seems to be circulating, not just in this country but in general."
Family Plans
Harry is expected to remain in the UK for several more days. Meghan Markle will join him with their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, but the family will not participate in any public engagements, opting instead for private time in Britain. Harry's public schedule includes additional engagements before his departure.
