Prince Harry: Prince Archie's Favourite Toy Is Lego

Prince Harry has revealed that his seven-year-old son, Prince Archie, is 'obsessed with Lego' and described him as a 'master builder'. The Duke of Sussex made the personal admission during an engagement at Birmingham Children's Hospital on Thursday, July 9, 2026, where he was marking two decades of WellChild's specialist nursing initiative.

Harry shares family insight during hospital visit

The 41-year-old royal was welcomed by hospital staff and took time to pose for a group photograph with approximately twelve nurses. He also spoke with a young patient, 12-year-old Alec Hill, and his parents. During the conversation, Harry offered a rare glimpse into his own family life, saying: 'Do you know who's obsessed with Lego? My son Archie and he's a master builder.'

Harry's visit to the UK comes amid reports that his request for police protection was denied, leading him to travel without his wife Meghan Markle and their two children. Archie and his five-year-old sister, Princess Lilibet, have not visited the UK since 2022, when they celebrated the late Queen's Platinum Jubilee. That visit is also believed to be the last time King Charles saw his youngest grandchildren.

Harry praises healthcare workers amid pressures

During the engagement, Harry also addressed a gathering of WellChild executives, nursing staff, and families, acknowledging the mounting pressures facing healthcare workers. He said: 'I don't know if you hear it enough, the difference that you make every single day is quite literally changing daily lives.' He added: 'I understand, and we understand, that becomes harder every week with cuts and financial difficulties, just the insanity that seems to be circulating, not just in this country but in general.'

The Duke's comments come as reports suggest he may bring his children to visit King Charles later this week, despite the security concerns that initially prevented their travel.
